28 April 2026
As global economic pressures continue to affect livelihoods and development pathways, Namibia is strengthening coordinated responses to protect vulnerable communities and advance long-term resilience.
During the Sustainable Development Dialogue Series (SDDS) held at the United Nations House in Windhoek, Government leaders, the United Nations and development partners examined how global shocks are impacting Namibia and explored integrated policy responses aligned with NDP6 and the UNSDCF 2025–2029.
In this interview, Mr. I-Ben Natangwe Nashandi, Executive Director of the National Planning Commission (NPC), and Christian Shingiro, Deputy Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), reflect on the importance of policy coherence, resilience-building and partnerships in ensuring that Namibia’s response to global turbulence delivers meaningful and lasting impact for communities.
