Future Media in partnership with the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Windhoek and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Namibia along with the team of the First Lady of Namibia have come together in the spirit of partnership to curb the spread of misinformation by sharing scientific and evidence based information.

The series of insightful interviews with health experts informs and empowers Namibians to make decisions based on the facts. The series has been broadcast across the Future Media stable of radio stations including Fresh FM, Omulunga Radio, Nova 103.5 and Radiowave FM over the course of the month of June and July 2021.

The interviews unpack some of the most common questions around COVID-19, treatment and vaccines. This episode covers a topic that has caused many heated debates - the use of Ivermectin for Covid-19 prevention and treatment. Dr. Mary Brantuo from the WHO provides background on how this parasitic treatment became part of the Covid-19 virus discussion, and explains the findings of the studies that have been done, and the side effects of Ivermectin.

Dr. Mary Brantuo is a medical doctor with a Masters in Public Health and a Professional Doctorate in Health Policy & Practice.
