Earth Hour is a World Wildlife Fund initiative that encourages households, businesses and institutions around the world to switch off their lights for one hour
Since its inception, Earth Hour has inspired many tangible green initiatives to protect nature, the climate and the environment. United Nations (UN) Namibia joined in the global effort to mark Earth Hour again this year. Annually, more people, communities, leaders, companies, and other actors take action to address the effects of climate change.
On Saturday, March 25th at 8:30 p.m. the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the UN, partners and environmentalist switched off their lights to give an hour for Earth. For ideas for iconic action for our planet, see www.un.org/actnow.
