Hon. Janet Ramtoulie Sallah-Njie visit to Namibia

During her mission 12 to 16 June to Namibia, Hon. Janet Ramtoulie Sallah-Njie, Commissioner of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and Country Rapporteur for Namibia and Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Women in Africa met with the UNCT. Views were exchanged and experiences shared on how to improve the promotion, protection, and fulfilment of human rights in Namibia. The Commissioner urged the UN, when following up on the compliance of international instruments, the AU commitments should also be considered given that the issues for the AU and UN are common to the global commitment.
