"Inclusion has a cost, but it is a cost we can afford to normalize."

Following the intensive two-day UNCT Disability Inclusion Training in Windhoek, Melissa Punikwa, a UN Volunteer with UNICEF Namibia, sat down to share her perspective on the path forward.

 In this video, Melissa discusses the vital shift from a "charity-based" model to a "rights-based" approach. She emphasizes that meaningful inclusion means more than just an invitation to the table—it requires the intentional integration of persons with disabilities into every policy framework, budget, and community activity to truly ensure that no one is left behind.
