Monitoring child health and nutrition in Namibia

Thanks to EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid - ECHO, UNICEF is able to support Ministry of Health and Social Services-Namibia with 144,000 child sized color-coded mid-upper-arm circumference (MUAC) tapes. 

These MUAC tapes will enhance the screening for acute #malnutrition at health facility, community and household level, even during the pandemic.

Using the Family MUAC approach, mothers, caregivers and communities are empowered to monitor their children’s health and nutrition status thus strengthening community screening and contributing toward the fight against malnutrition in #Namibia.
