Happy International Youth Day

We are commemorating the day in Dordabis with various partners held on the theme, “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”. 

Speaking at the event, Mr Sen Pang - UN Namibia Resident Coordinator commended that the UN system in Namibia is committed to ensuring #youngpeople are at the center of decisions. 

By harnessing innovation & facilitating the creation of knowledge to transform #FoodSystems & build back a greener, equal & sustainable planet, with #youngpeople in the lead.

In her keynote address, Hon Agnes Tjongarero Minister of Sports, Youth & National Service  Highlighted the GRN’s commitment remains steadfast towards youth empowerment and development.

Speaking  of the youth, the Executive Chairperson of National Youth Council Ms. Sharonice Busch said putting the #youth at the heart of sustainable food systems transformations will go a long way in ensuring that food systems in Namibia are productive, prosperous and empowering for all.
