Day Of the African Child | 16 June 2022

The International Day of the African Child, June 16th, commemorates the killing and maiming of African schoolchildren in Soweto by the Apartheid government of South Africa on this day June 16th 1976. The student protesters were agitating for better education for black children.

UN SDG Book Club Africa is marking the day with the 1st year anniversary readings and commentaries by our talented ambassador schoolchildren from various parts of Africa.
