Digital: Innovation and technology for gender equality
The United Nations observance of International Women’s Day (IWD) recognises and celebrates the women and girls who are championing the advancement of transforma
IWD 2023 examined how the digital gender gap impacts growing economic and social disparities. The theme for IWD 2023 was "Digital: Innovation and technology for gender equality". This theme was aligned with the priority theme for the concluded 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW-67), "Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls".
To commemorate IWD 2023, UNDP Namibia's Accelerator Lab, in partnership with Groot - Aub's Councillors Office, Impact Tank, and Genius Robotics conducted a 3-day robotics workshop for 40 school-going girls in Groot - Aub.
