As we conclude the final year of the United Nations Partnership Framework (UNPAF) 2019–2024, I am proud to reflect on the significant strides we have made together in advancing Namibia’s sustainable development.
Over the past five years, the United Nations, in close collaboration with the Government of Namibia, development partners, civil society, and the private sector, has worked hand-in-hand to support national priorities and accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Guided by our four strategic pillars—Economic Progression, Social Transformation, Environmental Sustainability, and Good Governance—we have supported Namibia’s journey toward inclusive growth, social justice, and resilience. Together, we have empowered entrepreneurs, advanced universal health coverage, expanded climate-smart agriculture, strengthened public institutions, and promoted gender equality.
From the success of the Empretec Namibia Programme and the Green Hydrogen Initiative, to improved access to justice and a stronger social protection system, the impact of our partnership is visible across communities and sectors.
This progress is not just a reflection of the UN’s work—but a testament to Namibia’s commitment, leadership, and unwavering resolve to build a better future for all.
As we look ahead, the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2025–2029 will carry forward our collective ambitions, aligned with Vision 2030, NDP6, and the global drive to achieve the SDGs. It is a roadmap for inclusive, transformative, and accountable development.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our partners, and most importantly, to the people of Namibia—for your trust, resilience, and shared commitment to leaving no one behind.
Together, we move forward. Together, we deliver hope and results.
