UN Resident Coordinator Designate Sen Pang, undertook a courtesy call to the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO) this week.
Ahead of the official visit with the President of the Republic of Namibia, H.E. Dr. Hage G. Geingob, Mr. Sen Pang, the UN Resident Coordinator (UNRC) Designate paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Netumbo Nandi -Ndaitwah, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation in Namibia.
Ndaitwah welcomed the incoming Resident Coordinator (RC) to Namibia and congratulated the UN Resident Coordinator ad interim, Rachel Odede for work carried out during the transition awaiting the arrival of the new RC. “It will be an honour and privilege to serve as Resident Coordinator in Namibia,” said Pang during the courtesy visit. The incumbent RC expressed his hope to further strengthen cooperation between Namibia and the United Nations in Namibia, in the context of COVID-19 response and in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
