2021 UN Country Annual Results Report Namibia
The 2021 UN Country Annual Results Report highlights UN Namibia's achievements as we sought to build back better in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through the 17 UN agencies that are signatories to the 2019-2023 United Nations Partnership Framework (UNPAF, 2018) together with the Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN), UN Namibia actively engaged with Government and civil society partners in 2021 to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and to help build solid foundations for socio-economic recovery in each of the four pillars of the UNPAF: Economic Progression, Social Transformation, Environmental Sustainability and Good Governance.
The pursuit of saving livelihoods and preventing loss of lives, necessitated putting on hold our targeted efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to address the crisis.
We rose to the challenge to support the Government during the crisis of our lives - rallying donors, partners and stakeholders to join in the unanimous call to make a difference together. Despite difficult working arrangements and risks at the height of the fourth wave, UN staff members demonstrated resilience and a renewed devotion to keep the momentum and deliver for the people of Namibia.
